I will be a junior in high school this coming year. I have ALWAYS taken honors courses when available, involved in 2 sports and multiple clubs, and have a GPA of a 4.3.

Next year, I will be forced into taking a regulars physics course because I do not meet the pre-requisite for Pre-AP physics (need to have done Algebra II, which I am taking next year). I know colleges look for AP courses and am scared that a regulars physics class will hurt my chances of being accepted into more prestigious schools (UT, Yale, John Hopkins) and/or receiving scholarships.

I intend on making perfect (or near perfect) scores in this class, and am taking an additional AP (chemistry) science class.

Should I take AP Physics senior year to balance out the regulars course? I REALLY hate physics -I can make good grades, just hate the subject- and I intend on taking two other AP/Honors science classes senior year. My intended college major/area doesn’t deal with physics either.

I’m just really concerned that this one regular course will prevent me from potential college acceptances/scholarships. Should I be this concerned, or am I just worrying over nothing?
EDIT: Thank you very much! Pre-AP classes are the same as honors courses.
